The instant writ application relates to compassionate appointment. The case was earlier dismissed for non-prosecution on 12.09.2019. Thereafter, a restoration application was filed by another counsel and the writ application was restored vide order dated 10.10.2025 and pursuant thereto the case has been listed today. 2. Even today, none appears for the petitioner. 3. This is a case of compassionate appointment and a counter affidavit has already been filed way back in the year 2016 itself taking a stand in para 12 of the counter affidavit that the petitioner never filed any representation for compassionate 2026:JHHC:2552 2 appointment. However, the said averment made in para 7 has not been rebutted by way of any rejoinder. 4. Even otherwise, the death occurred on 16.07.2010 and we are in 2026; as such, the basic purpose/object of compassionate appointment for giving immediate financial relief to the bereaved family has now been frustrated; accordingly, no relief can be granted to this petitioner. 5.
