The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of Mandamus, directing respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 09.05.2026, seeking grant of compensation of Rs.30,00,000/- for the electrocution death of petitioner’s brother namely Kamal Hasan caused due to the gross negligence and failure on the part of the respondent authorities in maintaining the Mini water Tank Motor Switch situated at Vadakkalur Village, Kunnam Taluk Perambalur District and consequently direct the respondents to grant appropriate compensation and consequential reliefs. 3. 3. At the outset, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 4 to 7 would submit that petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2026 would be considered by fourth respondent and appropriate orders would be passed, keeping in view the extant Board proceedings and other relevant Rules, within a time period to be stipulated by this Court. In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the representation dated 09.05.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, keeping in view the extant Board proceedings and other relevant Rules, after issuing notice and after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner and any other interested persons within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy of the order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views on the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in accordance with law. 5.
