Mr. Kallol Mondal, PP Mr. Pawan Kr. Gupta Mr. Anamitra Banerjee
… for the State-respondent(s)
Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that inspite of the earlier order passed in CRM (M) 2802 of 2025 for substantially progressing with the prosecution, till date, charges have not been framed. State opposes the prayer for bail. Having considered that the petitioner is in custody for more than one year two months, I am of the opinion that within the next three months, if the learned trial court is unable to overcome the stage of consideration of charges, in that case, the learned trial court would release the petitioner
2 on bail on such terms and conditions as it would deem fit and proper. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. The learned trial court would adhere to the directions passed above. With the aforesaid observations, CRM (M) 1870 of 2026 is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
