2. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Jagannathpur P.S. Case No. 70 of 2025.
3. It has been alleged that the petitioner had obtained the number of the informant by creating a profile on Saadi. com and got acquainted with the informant. The petitioner induced the informant to invest in an online betting app and got the money transferred to his account or the account of the co-accused.
4. It has also been alleged that the petitioner had prepared an obscene video and by blackmailing the informant had extracted an amount Rs.2,00,000/- from her.
5. It has been submitted by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 22.11.2025.
6. It has also been submitted that though the petitioner is said to have a criminal antecedent but the said case was not found to be a case of cyber offence.

Learned Counsel submits that after investigation charge-sheet has been submitted by the Police.

8. Learned Spl. P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

It appears that in course of investigation, the Investigating Officer has collected various incriminating materials including the video and obscene photographs of the informant and the mobile of the petitioner as well as the forged I.D. and different QR codes sent by the petitioner to the informant which further indicates about the complicity of the petitioner in committing the offence as alleged.
10. Regard being had to the above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The same is hereby rejected at this stage.
11. Pending I.A., if any, stands disposed of.
