This is an application filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, seeking bail on behalf of the petitioner, namely, Ziyabur Rahman, who was arrested on Page No.# 2/2 03.02.2026 in connection with Nagarbera P.S. Case No. 71/2025, registered under Sections 64(2)(k)/64(2)(m) of the BNS, 2023. As per the allegations made in the FIR, the victim is a deaf and dumb girl aged about 22 years. It is alleged that, in the absence of her family members, the accused person entered her house on multiple occasions and committed rape upon her, as a result of which she became pregnant. Upon perusal of the statements of the victim, the allegations made in the FIR stand prima facie substantiated. Having regard to the gravity of the alleged offence and the materials available on record, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
