Dutta, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. Bhaskar Sharma, the Addl. Public Prosecutor, Assam and Mr. S. Nawaz, the learned Amicus Curiae appearing for the Respondent No.2. 2. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 whereby the petitioner Sri Modan Das @ Madhan Das has prayed for releasing him on bail as he is facing trial in Special (POCSO) Case No.118/2025 pending in the court of the learned Special Judge (POCSO), Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur. 3. It is alleged in the FIR that the petitioner has kidnapped a 14 year old daughter of the informant. 4. I have gone through the scanned copy of the evidence of the victim girl. I have also considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 5. This Court is of the opinion that allowing the petitioner to go on bail at this stage, will hamper early disposal of the case before the trial court.
