28.09.2026 Item No.06 Court No.11 Avijit Mitra MAT 314 of 2021 with I.A. No. CAN 1 of 2021 with I.A. No. CAN 2 of 2021 State of West Bengal & ors. -Versus- Parul Chakraborty & ors. Ms. Chandreyi Alam, Ld. A.G.P., Mr. Ravi Kumar Dubey …for the appellants Ms. Alam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the State, at the very outset submits that by a memo dated 10th August, 2026 issued by the District Inspector of Schools, Primary Education, Bankura, informed that pursuant to the order impugned in this appeal, the writ petitioners/respondents refunded an amount of Rs. 1,43,033/- and the said amount was paid by her through TR 7 on 05th January, 2024. Upon depositing of the said amount, the PPO was issued on 12th July, 2024. Let the said memo and the supplementary affidavit, as filed, be kept on record. It appears that the order complained of, in the present appeal, has already been complied with by the State authorities. Therefore, nothing remains to be decided in the present appeal. Accordingly, the appeal has become infructuous and the same along with the connected application is dismissed. There will be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities. (Partha Pratim Roy, J.) (Tapabrata Chakraborty, J.) 2
