Affidavit of service filed by the petitioners and the report submitted by the State are taken on record.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that pursuant to a work order issued by the Block Development Officer, Dhupguri on 8th February, 2022 in favour of the petitioners, the petitioners completed the work successfully and raised bills for the same. The amount of Rs. 9,23.070/-is still due. The petitioners seeks disbursal of the due amount.
Learned counsel for the State submits request for fund has been made before the District Authority by the Block Development Officer vide Memo no. 1361/BDO/DPG dated 27th February, 2026. In view of the above, the District Magistrate, Jalpaiguri, being the 6th respondent herein, is

directed to release the required fund in favour of the Block Development Officer, Dhupguri Development Block, being the 3rd respondent herein, within 8 weeks from the date of communication of this order. The 3rd respondent is directed to disburse the said amount in favour of the petitioners within two weeks of receipt of the same. The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities. (Suvra Ghosh, J)
