Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner is taken on record. The petitioner is aggrieved by delayed payment of his dues after satisfactory completion of work in terms of work order issued by the Block Development Officer, Malbazar block. He approached this Court in writ petitions being WPA 869 of 2025 and WPA 1653 of 2025 wherein a co-ordinate Bench of this Court directed the concerned authority to disburse the due amount in favour of the petitioner. The due amount has been disbursed thereafter. The petitioner seeks interest on the said amount. On prayer of the petitioner, liberty is granted to submit a comprehensive representation before the Block Development Officer, Malbazar, being the 6th
2 respondent herein, seeking interest on delayed payment of the dues, within a week from date. The 6th respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the same within two weeks from the date of receipt thereof upon affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all concerned including the petitioner, in accordance with law. The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week thereof. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
