1. It appears from the submissions of the learned Additional Assistant Advocate General that the petitioners were a kingpin of a racket of extortion. In the first year, the UPI receipts from Phonepe was Rs.2.27 crores. In respect of two other petitioners, one of whom appears to have been obtained bail from the Trial Court, the quantum of UPI receipts is in the region of Rs.2.5 crores.
2. It is further submitted that custodial interrogation is necessary.
3. Given the fact that extortion has been the order of the day until May 2026, this Court is not inclined to entertain the application for anticipatory bail.
4. Accordingly, CRM (A) 484 of 2026 is disposed of.
