Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner and the report submitted by the State are taken on record. Pursuant to a work order issued in favour of the petitioner by the Block Development Officer, Dhupguri Development Block on 8th February, 2022 the petitioner completed the work successfully which was certified by the Block Development Officer. Out of the total bill amount of Rs.12,51,621/-, Rs.10,30,892/- is still due. The petitioner seeks disbursal of the due amount. It appears from the report submitted by the State that a prayer has been made before the District Authority for release of necessary fund. In view of satisfactory completion of the work by the petitioner, the District Magistrate, Jalpaiguri,
2 being the 3rd respondent herein, is directed to release the required fund in favour of the Block Development Officer, Dhupguri Development Block, being the 4th respondent herein, within 8 weeks from the date of communication of this order. The 4th respondent is directed to disburse the said amount in favour of the petitioner within two weeks of receipt of the same. The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities. (Suvra Ghosh, J)
