GP FOR FINANCE PLANNING The Court made the following: 4 ORDER:- The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was entrusted with the work of Replacement of 600 mm and 500 mm PSC Pipeline with D.I. K-7 Pipeline for Clear Water Gravity Main from Housing Board Colony to Trunk Road along Bhagyanagar 4th Line in Ongole Municipal Corporation. 2. It is submitted that the petitioner had completed the work entrusted to him and that the competent authority of the respondents had also approved the payment due and payable to the petitioner. The cheque slip was also prepared for release of the payment. The respondents have also recorded the progress of the work and the amounts due and payable to the petitioner in the M-Book. 3. This matter was listed on 12.03.2026, and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents sought time to obtain written instructions. 4. Today, when the matter is listed, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that no further instructions have been received. The completion of the work is not disputed, but it is submitted that the petitioner is claiming an amount of Rs.1,97,02,795/- towards the work executed. The cheque slip issued by the competent Engineer of the respondent Municipal Corporation would note that the work was completed in 5 all respects and that the pre-audit had also approved the final bill on 06.01.2026. 5. Recording the submissions, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, the respondents are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due and payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
