Though, the instant writ petition has been filed complaining inaction on the part of the municipal authorities, to deal with the unauthorized construction at 35, Hara Chand Mukherjee Lane, District-Howrah, however, the learned advocate representing the municipality would submit that taking cognizance of the petitioner’s complaint, a proceeding has already been initiated and the petitioner was also called for a hearing. 3. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and noting that the municipality has already proceeded in the matter, I am of the view, no fruitful purpose will be served by retaining the matter on the file. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of by directing municipal authorities to conclude the proceedings preferably within a period WPA 24708 of 2026 2 of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. The outcome of the proceedings must be communicated to the petitioner. 4. All consequences shall follow. 5. The writ petition is disposed of. (Raja Basu Chowdhury, J.)
