Mahmud Mr. Amitabha Ghosh Mr. Chottu Naskar … for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Pritam Ray Ms. Triparna Roy Ms. Deblina Bhattacharjee … for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been foisted with the criminal case after the change in administration. The letter of complaint which has been treated to be FIR reflects that the incident occurred on 02.12.2025 and the same was informed to the concerned police station on or about 04.07.2026. State opposes the prayer for bail on the ground that there are antecedents of the present petitioner. I find from the Memo of Evidence submitted by the State that the cases were registered in the months of June and July, 2027. 2 Having considered the fact that the petitioner is in custody for 75 days, I am of the opinion that further detention of the petitioner is uncalled for. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Allowed. Accordingly, the petitioner viz, Sudarshan Bor @ Bar shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the leaned ACJM, Serampore, Hooghly. If on bail, the petitioner shall meet with the Investigating Officer of the case once in every 10 days till the report in final form is submitted before the learned jurisdictional court. Accordingly, CRM (M) 2168 of 2026 is allowed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
