(Excise) Case No. 892 of 2025 for the offence registered under Sections 47-A and 55 of the Jharkhand Excise Act, pending in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Bokaro. As per the prosecution case, 8100 litres of English liquor was seized without any valid documents from a Truck bearing Registration No. PB 46 M 8164. The petitioner was the driver of the said truck who was apprehended on spot. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was working as a driver in the company namely, Singh Transport Company, Rajpur, Patiala, Punjab and transporting the goods. The petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. The petitioner is in custody since 22.06.2025. Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Court below.
