ORAL ORDER These writ petitions are filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:
WP No.11584/2026: <Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the Hon9ble III Additional Civil Judge and JMFC, Udupi to dispose off the suit bearing O.S.No.919/2018 within a period of 6 months vide Annexure-B.= WP No.11665/2026: <Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the Hon9ble III Additional Civil Judge and JMFC, Udupi to dispose off the suit bearing O.S.No.751/2018 within a period of 6 months vide Annexure-B.=
2. For the sake of convenience, the parties are referred to as per their ranking before the Trial Court.

3. The plaintiff in O.S.No.919/2018, who is a landlord, has filed a suit for eviction. The plaintiff in O.S. No.751/2018, who is a tenant, has filed a suit for injunction, both before the III Additional Civil Judge and JMFC, Udupi.
4. Learned counsel appearing for the plaintiff in O.S. No. 919/2018 submits that the suit for eviction was filed in the year 2018 and, even after a lapse of eight years, it is still at the stage of recording of evidence. It is further submitted that the defendant is seeking time on one pretext or the other. Hence, a request is made for early disposal of both the suits.
5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, these writ petitions stand disposed of with a direction to the III Additional Civil Judge and JMFC, Udupi, to dispose of O.S. Nos. 919/2018 and 751/2018 as expeditiously as possible, and in any

event, not later than six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
