The present petition is filed seeking for the following reliefs: "i) Issue writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents No.3 to delete the name of the petitioner in the rowdy registrar and quash the Vide Annexure: 'A' A4/P.S/RTI/46/2025 Dated: 03/08/2025 issued by Respondent-3. ii) Issue any other writ, order or direction, which this Hon'ble court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case. " 2. The petitioner is aggrieved by the impugned order dated 03.08.2025, whereunder his name has been included in the rowdy register. It is the case of the petitioner that only one case is pending in Crime No.40/2023, which criminal proceedings have been stayed by this Court in Criminal petition No.5908/2025 vide order dated 22.04.2025. Hence, it is contended that the inclusion of the name of the petitioner in the rowdy sheet is erroneous. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that no other material has been produced/ is available against the petitioner for including his name in the rowdy register. The inclusion his name is erroneous and to be interfered with by this Court. 5. Learned AGA on instructions submits that apart from the criminal proceedings which have been stayed by this Court vide order dated 22.04.2025 passed in Criminal Petition No.5908/2025, no other criminal proceedings are pending against the petitioner. There is no material on record to indicate that the name of the petitioner to be included in the rowdy register. In view of the aforementioned, the relief sought for by the petitioner in the present petition merits consideration. 7. Hence, the following: ORDER i) Writ petition is allowed. ii) The order bearing No. A4/P.S/RTI/46/2025 dated 03.08.2025 issued by respondent No.3 (Annexure-A to the writ petition) is hereby quashed. iii) This order shall not preclude the concerned authority from taking such other steps/proceedings/measures against the petitioner in accordance with law.
