It could be seen from the FIR that the petitioner/de facto complainant and the private respondents herein are close relatives, and the jewels handed over by the petitioner to the private respondents have not yet been returned. Therefore, a case was registered against the private respondents in Crime No. 91 of 2026 for the offences punishable under Sections 316(2), 318(4), 303(2), 296(b), and 115(2) of the BNS.
