The petitioners are the complainants at whose instance FIR No. 113/2026 dated 04.03.2026 has been registered at Police Station Jahangir Puri, District North West, Delhi, under Sections 85, 80, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The FIR concerns the suicide of their daughter, allegedly in the wake of demand for dowry and harassment by her husband and his family. 2. It is the petitioners’ grievance that the investigation is not being conducted satisfactorily. For this purpose, they seek the constitution of a Special Investigation Team, a court-monitored investigation, and the seizure and forensic examination of the mobile phones of the accused. 3. Mr. Sanjeev Bhandari, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, submits that the investigation is in progress. 4. Ms. Tanya Aggarwal, learned counsel for the petitioners, states that, at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied with such a direction. 6. As no further orders are sought at this stage, petition is disposed of with a direction to the concerned DCP to monitor the investigation and ensure that all necessary steps are taken.
