Let affidavit of undertaking filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. The petitioner is a Doctor, who has been working since August, 2017 as General Duty Medical Officer in the cadre of West Bengal Health Services (WBHS) under the respondent authorities, at Murshidabad. 3. The petitioner has thereafter pursued a Post Graduate Course after availing the TR facility from March, 2023 to about March, 2026. The petitioner has also executed an indemnity bond for about Rs. 15 lac and has also given the requisite undertaking to refund balance period money under the bond in terms of the direction of the concerned authority. 4. The petitioner now seeks to pursue higher academics on account whereof he has tendered his resignation by a letter of June 09, 2026. 5. As is imminent from the letter, the petitioner is ready and willing to furnish the amount that may be 2 calculated regarding the balance period of service under the bond. 6. In view of the afore-stated, I direct the respondent no. 2 to take all necessary steps and accept the resignation of the petitioner and release the petitioner upon intimating the amount payable by the petitioner for such release. 7. The petitioner will deposit the said amount with the respondent no. 2 prior to issuance of the release order. The entire exercise should be completed by November 15, 2026. 8. With the afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 9. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. 10.
