Mr. Pinaki Bhattacharyya, Mr. Soumak Bera, Ms. Nabanita Chatterjee ... For the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the incident complained of is of February, 2026 and the same was informed to the police station on 06.07.2026. Petitioner is in custody for 71 days and he has been shown arrested in connection with the instant case. Petitioner has been implicated in one after another case because of change in administration. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and produces the case diary. Having considered the period of detention of the present petitioner and the materials appearing in the case diary, I am of the opinion that further detention of the present petitioner in connection with the instant case is 2 unwarranted. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. Accordingly, the petitioner viz., Sudarshan Bor alias Bar shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-, with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Serampore, Hooghly. As the investigation of the case is in progress, petitioner shall meet with the Investigating Officer of the case once in every ten days till the report in final form is submitted before the jurisdictional court. Memo of Evidence submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The application for bail, being CRM (M) 2344 of 2026, is, thus, disposed of. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
