The writ application has been preferred praying for direction upon the Appellate Authority to dispose of the pending appeal expeditiously. Other than the said prayer, there are other prayers made by the petitioner. 2. During pendency of the writ application, the Appellate Authority, vide an order dated 12.05.2026, has disposed of the appeal whereby the appeal has been dismissed on the ground of limitation and also for being not maintainable on the ground of non-deposit of the requisite amount. 3. Mr. Majumdar, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner intends to appeal against the said order before the High Court. As the said order has been passed 2 during pendency of the writ application, a limited protection is prayed for. 4. Considering that the principal relief, as prayed for by the petitioner has been addressed, the writ application is disposed of with liberty granted to the petitioner to prefer an appeal against the order of the Appellate Authority, as prayed for at the earliest. 5. Considering that the order of the Controlling Authority and also the order of the certificate proceedings had been stayed in the present proceeding, the order of stay shall remain in force for a period of two weeks from the date of this order. 6. It is made clear that in case the petitioner does not challenge the order of the Appellate Authority within the period of stay, the order of stay shall stand automatically vacated and the authority shall be at liberty to proceed in accordance with law. 7. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties after completion of all necessary formalities. ( Shampa Dutt (Paul), J.)
