In this writ petition, the petitioner has called in question the judgment and award dated 31.05.2024 passed by the Principal District and Sessions Judge and Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Chamarajanagar in Ref.No.9/2018 vide Annexure-F. 2. Today, the respondent (party-in-person) is present before this Court. 3. Both petitioner and respondent (party-in-person) have appeared and filed a Joint Memo dated 23.09.2026. The Corporation has agreed to take the petitioner into service as a fresh trainee for a period of 1 year. 2. The Respondent to be placed on probation for a period of 2 years on successful completion of 1 year of training. 3. The period of service rendered by the employee/trainee prior to the order of removal would not be considered for any purpose. 4. The settlement is arrived without prejudice to the contentions taken by the corporation that the trainee is not a workman under the provisions of I D Act and the said issue is kept open to be decided in appropriate cases. 5. The parties to the proceedings have agreed for the above terms.” 4. The said joint memo signed by both the parties and learned counsel for the petitioner, is taken on record.
