The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the subject properties are in possession of the petitioners' ancestors as Old S.No.115-A and now they are in possession and doing agriculture. While so, to their shock and surprise, the petitioners came to know that patta in respect of possession of land stand in the name of Sri Aruthra Kabaleeshwara Swamy Temple at Papuli Village and the temple is situated more than 5 kms away from their subject land. The petitioner's land is no way connected with the temple property and the land is in their possession for the past more than 100 years. The patta has been wrongly issued in the name of the above temple without any substantiate documents. The petitioners made an application dated 10.03.2025 to cancel the patta and issue patta in the name of the 5th respondent, but the 5th respondent rejected the application, vide order dated 15.09.2025, against which the petitioner filed an appeal before the 4th respondent on 22.10.2025 and the same is pending. The petitioner also made a representation to the respondents on 27.10.2025 to furnish the documents which was mentioned in the rejection order passed by the 5th respondent, namely Chitta, Adangal, A-Register and other related documents, however till date, the respondents 3 to 5 have not taken any action to furnish the documents. Hence, the present writ petition. 3. In reply, learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the relevant documents will be furnished to the petitioner as sought in his representation dated 27.10.2025, within a period of two weeks. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 23784 of 2026 __________ Page4 of 7 4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials on record. 5. In view of the above, this Court, without expressing any opinion on merits, directs the respondents to furnish the relevant copies of documents as sought in the petitioner’s representation dated 27.10.2025, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
