APHC010119302026 IN THE HIGH COURT OF ANDHRA PRADESH AT AMARAVATI CONTEMPT CASE NO: 1005 of 2026 Bench Sr.No:-43 [3506] C. Eswara Reddy ...Petitioner Vs. Prasad Reddy and Others ...Contemnor(s) ********** Advocate for Petitioner: KRISHNA RAO M Advocate for Contemnor: VENKATA RAMA RAO KOTA SC FOR APSPDCL CORAM : SRI JUSTICE CHALLA GUNARANJAN DATE : 3rd July 2026 ORDER: This contempt is preferred alleging violation of orders dated 30.06.2025 passed in W.P. No.18034 of 2023. By aforesaid order, while disposing of the writ petition, the writ court had granted liberty to the petitioner to make representation before concerned EPF authority claiming for the release of EPF amounts. 2. Perusal of the contempt would go to show that the petitioner, instead of making claim before EPF authority, submitted representations to respondents herein and thereafter 2 CGR, J C.C. No.1005 of 2026 preferred present contempt alleging that they did not respond to the same. 3. The learned counsel for respondent contends that the contempt is misplaced inasmuch as petitioner has to submit representation to the EPF authorities but not the respondents herein and further that even in the writ petition, it had been reported that as per their records there is no outstanding amount as such payable to the writ petitioner. 4. Perusal of the record fortifies the stand taken by the respondents. In that view of the matter, present contempt has no merit and accordingly the same stands dismissed. No costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending in this case, if any, shall stand closed. CHALLA GUNARANJAN, J ss
