The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner submitted an application dated 22.05.2025 to the respondents 2 and 3, along with necessary documents to rectify the mistake and update his father’s correct name as Lakshmanan, in the new Patta No.355. But the respondents 2 and 3 have not taken any action on his application to rectify the mistake in the new patta. In reply, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner’s application dated 22.05.2025 and representation dated 27.09.2025 will be disposed of by the 3rd respondent and appropriate orders will be passed within a period of eight weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record. 5. In view of the above, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner’s application dated 22.05.2025 and representation dated 27.09.2025 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
