In Re : Parimal Rajwar ... Petitioner.
Ms. Minoti Gomes
... For the Petitioner.
Mr. Priyankar Ganguly, Ms. Shalini Bairagi
... For the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody for 1 year 2 months; charge- sheet has been submitted and charges have already been framed. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and draws the attention of the Court to the nature of the injury being inflicted at the behest of the present petitioner. Having considered the injury report, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Learned Trial Court is directed to expedite the process of trial and complete the evidence of vulnerable witnesses preferably within a period of one year from date. The application for bail, being CRM (M) 1866 of 2026, is, thus, disposed of.
