The case of the petitioner is that she is the absolute owner of the agricultural punjai land bearing Survey Nos.4/1, 4/1A, 4/2, 4/3, 2/5, 2/6 and 2/7 measuring about 1-1.00 Acres situated at Vannarampoondi, via pasumbalur path way, V.Kalathur Panchayat, Perambalur District and she submitted a representation to the respondents dated 07.06.2026 requesting them to survey her land with police protection and to fix boundary stones. However, the said application has not been considered till date. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition. 3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the third and fourth respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.06.2026, conduct a survey of the subject property, and fix boundary stones. The third and fourth respondents shall afford a fair hearing, after issuing due notice to the petitioner and any other interested parties, and pass appropriate orders on merits __________ Page3 of 6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 24625 of 2026 and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that in the event that any disturbance arises, the surveying authority is empowered to seek the assistance of the jurisdictional Police, and the jurisdictional Police are mandated to provide necessary police protection. In the event that the subject land under survey is in the possession of either the petitioner or any other concerned party, the recovery of possession can only be effected through the due process of law before the competent Civil Court; under no circumstances shall the respondents engage in taking over possession after completing the survey to hand it over to any party. Such exercise shall be carried out exclusively through the competent Civil Court. 5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 6.
