The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the lands measuring 11 cents in S.F.No.240/3 situate at Sirunallur Majara, Vilvarayan Nallur, Maduranthatam Taluk, Chengalpattu District, ancestrally belonged to petitioner's husband. The petitioner's husband died on 15.06.2022 and after his https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 24011 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 5 demise, the petitioner, her children and mother-in-law were in possession of the above said property and her mother-in-law also released her share in the above said lands in favour of the petitioner vide Release Deed dated 04.10.2024 and till date, kists are being paid by them. While so, one Govindasamy and Jayapalan filed a suit in O.S.No.166 of 2009 on the file of the District Munsif Court, Madurantakam for declaration of tile and injunction against the petitioner's husband and the 2nd petitioner herein and the said Suit was dismissed for non-prosecution. While so, the 2nd respondent herein without properly considering the Adangal and joint Patta standing in the name of the petitioner, her mother-in-law, erroneously cancelled the same, against which the petitioner filed an appeal on 02.03.2026 before the 1st respondent and the same is pending. Since the petitioner’s appeal has not been considered so far, the petitioner has filed the instant writ petition. 3. In reply, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner’s appeal dated 02.03.2026 will be disposed of by the 1st respondent within a period of eight weeks. 4. In view of the above, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner’s appeal dated 02.03.2026 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
