A.Deivasigamani For Respondent(s): Mr.P.V.S.Sridhar for R1 Senior Counsel for Ms.Sadhana Chudarvizhi Mr.Manikandan for R2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CONT P No. 142 of 2026 __________ Page5 of 7 Order The contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 19.03.2025 made in W.P.No.41433 of 2016. 2.The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the first respondent submitted that in compliance of the order of this Court, the first respondent has drawn two demand drafts namely, D.D. bearing no.966208 dated 23.06.2026 for a sum of Rs.9,00,000/- and D.D. bearing no.966209 dated 23.06.2026 for a sum of Rs.4,65,000/- [totally Rs.13,65,000/-] in favour of Registrar General, High Court of Madras on Karur Vysya Bank. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the first respondent is directed to deposit the said demand drafts before the Registry, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Registrar General of this Court is directed to transfer the amount in the above demand drafts to the District Legal Services Authority, Ranipet, within a period of two weeks thereafter.
