Faruque Ansari, learned counsel for the appellant and learned A.P.P. This appeal is directed against the order dated 02.08.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Pakur in B.P. No. 219/2025 in connection with Pakur(T) P.S. Case No. 188/2025, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected. It has been alleged that the appellant was apprehended while she was trying to circulate fake currency notes in the market and on a search of her person, three fake currency notes of Rs. 500/- and one currency note of Rs. 200/- were recovered. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that the appellant is in custody since 29.06.2025. It has further been submitted that there is no chance of the trial being concluded in the near future. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant. On consideration of the period of custody undergone by the appellant, we while setting aside the order dated 02.08.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Pakur in B.P. No. 219/2025 in connection with Pakur(T) P.S. Neutral Citation (2026:JHHC:1390-DB) 2 Case No. 188/2025 direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned C.J.M., Pakur.
