24.09.2026 Court No.35. D/L.419. Rakib (Allowed) CRM (NDPS) 2018 of 2026 In Re: An Application for Bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973/Under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Berhampore Police Station Case no. 611 of 2025 dated 26.03.2025 number under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c)/29 of the NDPS Act. And In the matter of : Imran Ali ……Petitioner. Mr. Arnab Chatterjee Mr. Anisur Rahaman .....for the Petitioner. Mr. Gouranga Kr. Das, Ld. APP Mr. Saswata Chatterjee ……for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is similarly placed as other accused person namely, Sukur Ali Mondal who has been granted bail in CRM (NDPS) 1184 of 2026. Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail but is unable to rebut the contention regarding the locus of the present petitioner similar to the other accused person who has been released on bail. Having considered the same, I am of the opinion that the petitioner be released on bail by the learned Special Court on same terms and conditions as was imposed upon the other accused person namely, Sukur Ali Mondal in CRM (NDPS) 1184 of 2026. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner namely, Imran Ali is allowed. Thus, CRM (NDPS) No. 2018 of 2026 is allowed. 2 Memo of evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
