This writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been preferred by the petitioner seeking following reliefs :- “10.1 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ by commanding and directing the respondents authority to consider and decided the application of the petitioner dated 05.01.2026 within stipulated time. 10.2 That this Hon’ble Court may kindly be please to issue 2 an appropriate writ by directing the respondent no. 2 to 6 to allow the Gram Panchayat Baronda Bazar to conduct the auction of cattle market to generate the revenue. 10.3 Any other relief, which may be suitable in the facts and circumstances of the case, may also be granted. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is Sarpanch of village Panchayat Baronda Bazar, Tahsil and District Mahasamund since 1980. Said Gram Panchayat is conducting auction for cattle market to generate the revenue after getting due permission from respondent No. 6- Chief Executive Officer, Janpad Panchayat, Mahasamund (C.G.). The petitioner filed an application Annexure P-2 dated 05.01.2026 before respondent No. 6 for permission to conduct the auction for cattle market for this year i.e. year 2026, which has been forwarded to respondent No. 4 – Deputy Director, Panchayat, Mahasamund (C.G.) vide Annexure P-1 dated 05.01.2026, but the same has not been decided yet, hence, he prays that this petition may be disposed of directing respondents No. 4 & 6 to decide his application (Annexure P-2 ) dated 05.01.2026 within stipulated timeframe. 3. Learned counsel for the State/respondents has no objection to allow the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioner. 4. Having considered the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioner and contention putforth by State Counsel, this petition is disposed of directing respondents No. 4 & 6 to decide applications Annexure P-1 & P-2, respectively, filed by the petitioner expeditiously preferably within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt / submission of copy of this order. 5.
