This review petition is filed by the petitioner- appellant under Order XLVII Rule 1 read with Section 114 of the Code of Civil Procedure, seeking review of the judgment and award passed by this Court in MFA No.2146/2019 dated 09.09.2024. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner- appellant submits that, in the claim petition filed before the Tribunal, the claimant, instead of impleading New India Insurance Company Limited, had impleaded National Insurance Company Limited. Subsequently, the claim petition came to be amended and New India Insurance Company Limited was brought on record in place of Digitally Signed by NARENDRA PRASAD HAREKOPPA THIMMANNA GOWDA - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010761152025 NC: 2026:KHC:53214 RP No. 522 of 2025 National Insurance Company Limited. However, in the judgment and award passed by the Tribunal, National Insurance Company Limited has been shown as a party instead of New India Insurance Company Limited. Even in the memorandum of appeal, the appellant has shown National Insurance Company Limited instead of New India Insurance Company Limited. Consequently, notice was issued to National Insurance Company Limited and the appeal came to be disposed of. 3. The present review petition has been filed for the reason that there is an error in impleading National Insurance Company Limited instead of New India Insurance Company Limited. 4. In view of the above, following order is passed: ORDER a) The review petition is allowed.
