Mr. S.S. Yadav, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Ajay Veer Pundir, Advocate for the respondents. 2. Petitioner is serving as Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) in Gurukul Kangri (Deemed to be University) since last several decades. He has been transferred from Education department, Haridwar to Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Haridwar vide order dated 28.02.2026. Feeling aggrieved by his transfer, petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the University submits that the place where petitioner is transferred is only about 03 kms from his present place of posting. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that the two places are more than 10 kms apart. 5. Learned counsel for the University submits that if petitioner has any personal difficulty because of his transfer, then he can approach the competent authority by making representation. 6. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed 2026:UHC:3194 of by permitting petitioner to make representation to competent authority within one week from today. If he makes representation within stipulated time, Interim Vice-Chancellor shall take decision thereupon, as per law, within three weeks thereafter. 7. For a period of four weeks or till decision is taken on petitioner’s representation, whichever is earlier, status quo as regards petitioner’s posting, as on today, shall be maintained. It shall be open to the petitioner to raise other grievances in his representation which shall also be dealt with by the competent authority. 8. This Court hopes and expects that petitioner as well as employees’ association will not create any ruckus in the University till decision is taken by Interim Vice-Chancellor.
