JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA Order 25.05.2026 [1] Present Mr. K. Roshan, learned counsel along with Mr. Jonty Roscoe, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S. Vijayanand Sharma, learned Sr. PCCG along with Mr. Themchuiyo Kashung and Mr. Jyotirmay Acharya, Dy. Commandant (Law), CRPF for the respondents. [2] By the present petition, the petitioner challenged the transfer order dated 22.12.2025 transferring him from 143-Bn. Lamphel, Imphal West to 243-Bn. New Delhi and prays for one year retention as his medical condition, P(5)P is permanent invalidation for force duty. It is submitted that he will be examined by Departmental Rehabilitation Board (DRB) as to verify whether he will be fit for rehabilitation in civil posting or not. One of the prayer in the writ petition is for retention of one year at 143-Bn. Lamphel till his invalidation proceeding is completed. [3] On 11.05.2026, Mr. S. Vijayanand Sharma, learned Sr. PCCG, took two weeks’ time for taking instruction regarding rehabilitation process before the DRB. When the matter is listed today, learned Sr. PCCG produces an order dated 22.05.2026 whereby the petitioner has been retained at 143-Bn. till SCT-2027 and his earlier transfer order dated 22.12.2025 has been cancelled. It is recorded that the invalidation process has to be completed during the retention period. [4] The subsequent order dated 22.05.2026 is taken on record. [5] Considering the subsequent transfer order (amendment) dated 22.05.2026, the main prayer in the writ petition seems to be complied. In the circumstances, writ petition is closed.
