The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to release security amount qua work carried out by it for the respondent.

Learned counsel for respondents No.3 to 5 submits that admitted liability would be discharged within three months from today subject to verification.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent may be subjected to interest @ 6% per annum from the date of passing bills.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands
disposed of with a direction to respondent to release payment to the petitioner within three months from today. If payment is not released within aforesaid period, the respondent would be liable to pay interest @9% per annum from the expiry of said period. The petitioner is at liberty to approach appropriate authority qua disputed amount, if any.
