The petitioner is a member of Ratua II Panchayat Samiti and submits that pursuant to a no confidence motion submitted by the petitioner for removal of the Sabhapati of the Panchayat Samiti the Prescribed Authority by a notice issued on 14th September, 2026 fixed the date of meeting on 25th September, 2026. The petitioner seeks a direction upon the police authority to render necessary assistance to the Prescribed Authority so that the meeting is held smoothly and peacefully. Learned counsels for the private respondents submit that they shall attend the meeting. Learned counsel for the 20th respondent submits that he shall place his grievance before the Prescribed Authority in the meeting. 2 In view of the fact that the meeting is scheduled on 25th September, 2026, the Officer in Charge, Pukhuria Police Station, being the 7th respondent herein is directed to render necessary assistance to the Prescribed Authority so that the meeting is held without any disturbance from any corner whatsoever. The police authority shall ensure safe passage of the members of the Panchayat to the venue of meeting in order to enable them to cast their votes freely, safely and independently. The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.
