No. 1445 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 3 ORDER The Writ Petition has been filed forbearing the respondent or its subordinates from putting up any bus passengers shelter in the patta land of the petitioner situated just in front of the petitioners hotel namely Hotel AMS A/c lodging hosue, located at No.394, Nadu Stret,Bye-pass Roundana Kondalampatti, Salem. 2.The learned Government Counsel, on instructions, submitted that the respondent proposes to construct the passenger shelter near the road and not on the petitioner’s patta land. 3.In view of the above, the respondent is directed not to construct the passenger shelter on the petitioner’s patta land without undertaking proper acquisition proceedings. The respondent is at liberty to put up the shelter on land belonging to the Highways Department or other authorities. 4. With the above observations, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
