Parveen … for the petitioner(s) Mr. Ranjan Chakrbaorti Mr. Abhijit Singh … for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case. There are no criminal antecedents of the present petitioner and case has been foisted against him by the police authorities without any materials and/or evidence appearing against him. Learned advocate for the State submits that there was recovery of 1024 bottles of codeine mixture. The petitioner was at the spot and he fled away which is appearing from the statement of the witnesses. 2 Having considered the above, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail. Hence, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is Rejected. Accordingly, CRM (A) 3017 of 2026 is dismissed. Memo of evidence submitted be kept with the record. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
