Instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been preferred by the petitioners seeking following reliefs :- 2 1. Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased and gracious enough to call for the records of the case from the respondents. 2. Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to set aside the notifications dated 25.02.2026 and 20.03.2026 (Annexure P/1 and P/2) and pass an appropriate direction to the respondent no. 4 to conduct the bar election as per the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court by allotting 30% reservation in the existing posts for executive committee of the bar by issuance of an appropriate writ or any other writ/writs, order/orders or direction/directions. 3. Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to pass an order declaring the newly created posts as illegal which are Vide President (Junior), Joint Secretary (Junior), Sports and Cultural Secretary (Junior) and 2 posts for executive members or pass an appropriate to the respondent no. 4 for removing the illegally created posts for women which are named as Vice President (Junior), Joint Secretary (Junior), Sports and Cultural Secretary (Junior) and 2 posts for executive members by issuance of an appropriate writ or any other writ / writs, order/orders or direction/directions. 4. Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to pass an appropriate direction to respondent no. 2 to look into the application (Annexure P-7) and consider it in an objective manner. 5. Any other relief/relief’s which Hon’ble Court may deem fit in the facts and circumstances of the instant case. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that, without any authority, Respondent No. 4, who has been appointed as the Chief Election Officer for conductionge election for the new Executive Committee of the District Bar Association, Korba for the years 2026–2028, has issued a notification whereby new posts have been created for female candidates; in all these newly created posts, women have been denoted as 'Juniors,' which is completely contrary to the Rules and 3 Bye-laws of District Bar Association, Korba as well as the directionss issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court. He further submits that under the edges of such illegality, election of Bar Association, Korba has been declared to be held on 12.04.2026. She further submits that the petitioner has filed an application (Annexure P-9) before Secretary, Chhattisgarh State Bar Council on 27.03.2026, hence she prays that this petition may be disposed of directing respondent No. 2 / Secretary, Chhattisgarh State Bar Council to decide application (Annexure P-9) filed by the petitioner expeditiously. 3. Learned State Counsel has no objection to allow the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioner. 4. Having considered the limited prayer of the petitioner, without entering into the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of directing respondent No. 2 – Secretary, Chhattisgarh State Bar Council to decide the application (Annexure P-9) dated 27.03.2026 filed by the petitioners expeditiously. 5. With the aforesaid observation and direction,the writ petition is disposed of. 6. Pending interlocutory application (s), if any, stands disposed of.
