The petitioners claim to be the daughters of a clerk of a secondary school who retired from service on attaining age of superannuation on January 31, 2006 and expired on March 16, 2026. 3. Immediately after the death of their father, the daughters have approached this Court in September 2026 praying for a direction upon the respondent authorities to grant permission to refund the Government’s share of contribution of the provident fund amount along with interest and additional interest so that they can get the benefit of the pension scheme. 4. It is evident that the employee was alive for more than 20 years after his superannuation. As long as he was alive, he never approached the authority for pension. 5. After the death of the employee, the prayer of the petitioners for refund of the provident fund amount for grant of pension cannot be allowed. 2 6. Accordingly, the writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. 7. Parties to act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 8.
