By presenting this writ petition prayer is made for taking steps in connection with FIR drawn up based on complaint lodged before Badagada Police Station, Bhubaneswar on 6th July, 2026. 3. State respondents are represented by learned advocate who has filed a communication dated 8th September, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Kasba Police Station and same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication is made over to learned advocate representing petitioner. 4. It is disclosed in the said communication dated 8th September, 2026 that initially Zero FIR was registered at Badagada Police Station, Bhubaneswar and subsequent thereto a case was registered at Kasba Police Station, Kolkata being Kasba Police Station Case No.350/2026 dated 5th July, 2026 under certain provisions of BNS, 2023. It is further disclosed that [2] initially investigation was entrusted to one Sub- Inspector of Kasba Police Station but taking note of gravity of the allegations and necessity of ensuring fair and impartial investigation Additional Officer, Jadavpur Police Station, South Suburban Division, Kolkata has been entrusted with responsibility to investigate the case. Appointment of Additional Officer was made based on order dated 6th July, 2026 which is issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Suburban Division. 5. It is further disclosed in the communication that investigation is progressing and all steps are being taken, in accordance with law. 6. In view of such disclosure of steps taken by the concerned police authority, no further order need be passed on this writ petition except direction upon the concerned police authority to take the investigation to its logical conclusion and file report before the jurisdictional Magistrate. 7.
