22.09.2026 Court No.25 D/L No.169 S. Gayen In the High Court at Calcutta Constitutional Writ Jurisdiction Appellate Side
WPA 19427 of 2026
Rafikul Islam & Ors. Versus The State of West Bengal & Ors.
Mr. Parvej Alam …for the Petitioners
Ms. Anamika Pandey …for the ECI
1. This Court finds that altogether thirteen petitioners have jointly filed the present writ application and they are not the family members. Thus, the writ petition is not maintainable.
2. Accordingly, WPA 19427 of 2026 is dismissed. However, the dismissal of the writ petition will not prevent the petitioners to file their separate applications, if so advised.
3. Urgent Photostat certified copy, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
