1. Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner is taken on record.
2. The petitioner has alleged in the instant writ petition that the meter for submersible pump earlier installed by the respondent authority, though not on a permanent setting up but on a bamboo pole, was found inoperative and defective. He says that pursuant to his representation ultimately the respondent authority had replaced the electric meter on 21st June, 2026.
3. Allegedly however, even after replacement the old inoperative meter, the replaced one has also been found to be inoperative and defective. Hence, the petitioner has sent several representations before the respondent authority for replacement of the meter again, as well as setting up of a permanent structure for the meter, instead of bamboo pole.

4. The petitioner has alleged in the instant writ petition that neither of the prayer of the writ petitioner as above are considered by the respondent authority.
5. Parties are represented.

Having considered the submissions of both the learned advocates for the respective parties as well as the materials on record, let the present writ petition be disposed of by directing the respondent no. 3/the D.E. & Station Manager, Raghunathganj CCC, WBSEDCL to inspect the premise and take appropriate necessary action for replacement of the meter which was installed on 21st June, 2026 and is found defective and inoperative, as alleged.
7. The exercise as above should be concluded by the respondent authority within a period of three weeks from the date of this order.

As it is understood from the submissions of the learned advocate for the petitioner, the metre is installed on bamboo poles, let appropriate necessary steps be taken by the respondent no. 3 in accordance with law, for setting up a permanent structure for the meter upon inspection and in accordance with law, preferably within a period of three months.
