Mitra …for the respondent This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the husband praying for a direction upon the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track Court-II at Sealdah to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No. 67 of 2022, expeditiously. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that 13th October, 2026 is fixed for evidence of the plaintiff’s witness in the matrimonial suit. He further submits that the misc. case for alimony pendente lite has already been disposed of in the meantime and the petitioner has complied with the direction passed by the learned trial judge with regard to payment of alimony pendente lite. The learned advocate appearing for the opposite party seriously disputes the aforesaid submission made by the learned advocate for the petitioner. He submits that the petitioner was a defaulter in payment of alimony pendente lite and very recently the petitioner liquidated the entire arrear of alimony. In the light of the submission made by the learned advocate for the petitioner, this civil revision application is disposed of by requesting the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track Court-II, Sealdah, to make an endeavour to 2 dispose of the Matrimonial Suit 67 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties provided the husband/petitioner is not in default in complying with the direction passed by the competent court of law for payment of alimony pendente lite and maintenance.
