Let affidavit-of-service, as filed in Court, be kept on record. 2. The petitioner is the divorced daughter of an employee of the State of West Bengal in the Department of Agriculture. The petitioner’s father expired sometime in July 2012 whereupon the mother of the petitioner was receiving the family pension. The petitioner went through a marital discord and obtained a divorce sometime in February, 2022. The mother of the petitioner expired sometime in August, 2024. The petitioner had made a representation claiming family pension as the divorced daughter. 3. Mr. Bhattacharya, learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the State, submits that on September 16, 2026, the authorities had issued a letter to the petitioner seeking certain documents to process her 2 application/representation. However, the said letter had not been received. A copy of such letter, as produced in Court, is kept on record. A copy of the said letter has been handed over to the petitioner in Court today. 4. The petitioner will furnish such documents, as sought for, within October 5, 2026. The respondent authorities will consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner in accordance with the prevalent laws and notifications guiding the case within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the application. 5. With the aforestated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 6. There will be no order as to costs. 7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Reetobroto Kumar Mitra, J.)
