Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this bail petition, the petitioner has prayed for his enlargement on bail, in FIR No.143 of 2022, dated 28.07.2022, registered under Sections 302, 201 of the Indian Penal Code (hereinafter to be referred as ‘IPC’) and Section 25 of the Arms Act, at Police Station Sadar Kullu District Kullu, H.P. 2. Status report stands filed, which is ordered to be taken on record. 1Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2026:HHC:8894 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner argued that the petitioner is in custody for the last three years and as the progress in the trial is not satisfactory, therefore, the petitioner be released on bail. 4. On the other hand, learned Additional General by referring to the status report, informed the Court that out of the 38 witnesses 33 witnesses stand examined. He further informed the Court that for the examination of remaining 5 witnesses, now the date is fixed as 27.04.2026 and 28.04.2026. 5. In light of this fact, this Court does not concur with the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner that the trial is not progressing in a satisfactory manner. The fact that till date the statement of 33 witnesses stand recorded and now the statement of only 5 witnesses is to be recorded, the Court is satisfied with the progress of the trial. 6. Besides this, taking into consideration the fact that the FIR registered against the petitioner is for the alleged commission of a heinous offence and earlier also, this Court in terms of its order dated 09.04.2025, has rejected the bail petition on this count, this Court sees no change in 3 2026:HHC:8894 circumstances to allow the present bail petition and the same is accordingly dismissed. 7.
