The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to instruct respondent Nos. 2 to 12 to take preventive measures to ensure that cattle, particularly cows, do not stray onto public roads, thereby preventing accidents. The petitioner also seeks implementation of the circular issued by the first respondent in Sae.Vae.No. 44 dated 21.09.2023 and consideration of the petitioner’s representation dated 04.05.2026 within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the respondents filed a report indicating that necessary action has been taken to prevent cattle from straying onto the roads. The learned counsel appearing for the State submitted that the Panchayats and the Block Development Officers have taken appropriate steps in this regard.
