The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction upon the respondents to take a reasonable and judicious decision on the availability of the sand for extraction from the Batha River Mining Contract Area No. 2 under Lohar Ghat Forest Range of Kamrup district for the period 2013-20, and to issue work order to the petitioner forthwith to start extraction. 3. The period, for which, the petitioner sought relief have expired in the meantime and as such nothing further survives in the instant writ petition.
